Colemans Cottage 16th May

Our next match sees us at Pathfield Lake at Colemans Cottage a favourite of a lot of members. Its also a place where a lot of guests ask to come.

We have the whole lake as usual, a total of 36 pegs, though there will be enough spare to ensure nearly everyone should have a blank peg on one side or the other. Same as always draw at 8.30 with breakfast available ( suggest you get there before 8am as there will be an open on Woods lake  so there will be quite a few wanting brekkie).Landing nets and keepnets are supplied by the fishery.

As I know of a possible 8 guests likely to come I am making one change for this match and section pools will be optional.

This could end up with a record turn out. Possible 29 but realistically 25. Not bad for a club with only 21 members

I will be there but Vic Cannot make it. He is going on a balloon flight. Always knew he was full of hot air.

A mate of mine would like to fish and travel down with me if possible. He is not a serious match angler like Mugger or Dave but fancies a day out somewhere different.

No problems Keith, he can compare notes with Colin on fishing new waters then.

Look forward to seeing you both. Image

Dave can you let the anglers that are fishing that there has been a couple of rule changes(please check with Gerry or Jane). Cat meat is now banned and there is a limit on luncheon of 400 grams and they do make checks.
Good luck i may see you all there as i may be fishing the open match on Wood lake.

Not really Clive as there arent any out and out fliers. Though there are a few pegs I prefer fishing.

Peg 6 is on of my favourites but as I drew it twice in two matches last year I suppose someone else ought to have a go. I have never fished 8 or 9 so wouldnt be upset to draw them, though Colin would be very annoyed if I got 8 as he really rates it. I like 19 as well.

So there you go lets see if the kind members will leave any of those in the hat for me this time. Image

I dont practise for our club matches. I did visit it once before the interoffice match just to make sure the reeds hadnt grown too far out and to see how the lake was fishing, so I could inform the rest of the team. It would have been rude not to fish it while I was there. ;) Image Image
