Were we made of money back then?

Just browsing through a well known mail order tackle dealer’s catalogue from 1993, reminded me of the astronomical cost of the ‘top of the range’ poles those days.

Even ‘budget end’ were typically £250 to £400 16 years ago.

In ‘real terms’ what would ‘equivalent’ cost of these poles have been today?

Pole Length Selling (not RRP) Price (£'s)

Garbolino Corvette 14m 1360
Garbolino Master Ace 14.8m 1120

Shakespeare Faps Hexa 13m 1799
Shakespeare Quadra 12.7m 1280
Shakespeare Superteam 13.8m 760

Silstar Diaflex 14m 975

Daiwa Amorphous Tournament 14m 2220
Daiwa Connoisseur 12.5m 960

DAM Litanium Tectron 15m 1200
DAM Litanium Futron 13.7m 830

Browning Advance 16.4m 2400
Browning World Class 13.3m 1750
Browning Super Ceramic 12.3m 1170

Shiman Diaflash 14m 1100

As well as what would the equivalent cost be today, do any of the above models bring back any memories to any forumites?
