Just for fun, what is the best excuse you have ever used (or come accross) for crappity smack up a peg in a match.

Over the years I have heard literally thousands of them!

i don't need a crappity smack excuse

i crappity smack them up anyway

I must have drempt up a few corkers in the past

I've drawn it and that is excuse enough.

What's the best excuse you've heard for not turning up to fish a match? Whole teams included...

In prison, "flu"{yellow stream up}, Van broke down, i didn't know the captain had booked me onto the practice .....

Only ever missed one match, and i let the relevant people know 4 days in advance i was too ill too make it rather than try n push my luck and end up lettin them down last minute

Never heard the in prison one before.

That's one of the most bizarre I heard.

We've had 2 lads missin from matches for bein locked up in last 12 months bill !

2 cows fell in the canal down pendeford after the farmer let them out after the winter that stopped me catching

I drew next to an old bloke once on the main line cut.

He hadn't got a clue, threw handfuls of bread all over the canal. He ended up beating me because he caught a few early then completely crappity smack up both our pegs....

Your fault for not taking any toast

I pray to God for no wind in my peg.

He helps me with this but forgets to clear the raft of leaves and petrol scum before I get there. Bast##d!

A duck stole my topkit

A little black brummy kid stole my top kit ..... seen that happen to darren bolton and almost to paul abbott ..... same kid

We were on some carp lakes down the M5 (Greensmiths or something). It was a Pelsall match. The lad next to me had left bait on a top 2 that he placed onto the bank.

Next thing we saw was a mallard flying off with his top 3. As it circled around our pool 3 times with the top 2 trailing, I was on the floor with laughter - and so was everyone else on the match!

Classic.

Seen several people lose top kits to ducks on commies.

I got knackered up once when a cow walked into my peg and had a yellow stream.

Also got completely squirrelled out once - a frisky male squirrel woudlnt take no for an answer and was chasing its missus around the trees. Never seen so many branches and acorns dive bombing my peg and nearly breaking my pole.

Remember this one anyone: "I caught much more than that but i accidentally tipped half of them back!"
