A member of these forums deserves a round of applause and a pat on the back.
Many generous members of this site - thanks all - will possibly recollect participating in a wide variety of fund raising schemes run and coordinated by the member during 2008 to generate revenue for Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
Obviously shying from any form of self publicity, the member quietly went about depositing the grand sum of £1346 to the Children’s Hospital Bank account some 3 months ago at the beginning of December 2008.
Even better still, the member’s work employers, Goodyear, matched his sterling efforts thus doubling the amount for this worthy charity to £2692
I might get it in the neck from the modest member concerned for making this posting and publicising the result of his efforts, but I’ll risk that, sincerely believing his deeds warrant recognition
