Off to Quarry Pool at Aston Eyre tomorrow. Hope the weather is nice like it has been today.
Last time we fished there it didn't fish very good but I did have Tinky throwing a feeder all round the place in front of me, very distracting   :D  :P
I caught 20lb of silvers shallow on the caster last time, so if the carp are all horny and spawning thats what I will be doing this time too.
If you read this Tinky, Don't forget my butty either (sausage and cheese with red sauce)  Image Image  Image

Well it was crap :D
I couldn't get a carp for love or money as they were all in the middle of the pool and on other pegs.
As I said last time I fished there I had to resort to fishing shallow for silver and I had to do the same this time. Last time I was on the black hydro and was bumping them of so this time I went down to white hydro and a number 2 tubertini 175(smallish hook)
I was having 1 a chuck on the caster, they didn't want to touch the pellet. They were in and out and all over the place. At the end I had to follow them out to 13 meters and low and behold I hooked into a carp Image I thought "sh!t" But after 10 mins she was mine Image
I finished up with 14lb 15oz and the carp was 6lb 8oz so I had about 7lb of silvers I think Image

Tommo won again with 48lb ALL CARP. Sprucey was on the next peg to him again. Must bring him luck Image

Tinky winky had another bad day :'( He drew the same peg as he drew last time we were there, I think he weight 4lb summat.
He said he won't be fishing there again and I would agree with him. That place is not suited to morning matches I don't think.

Here is what my peg looked like, quite nice hey Image

If it's any consolation Si, last (and only time) I fished it I was about 4 pegs to your left in 'dead man's bay' - well at least that's what I christened it. I had another grueller, struggling for a couple of pounds (as usual) :'(

Well at least the sun shone and you never had to get the brolly out...........

I was on peg 20 right in the corner.
I tryed maggot shallow and I couldn't get a bite :(
I think it was peg 13 that won today. He was to the right of the pipe. He had them all on the pellet but the guy on the next peg couldn't get a touch on the pellet.
Funny old place.

Well whether it was your peg or to the left you still blew me away - I only managed a couple of lb of silvers when we fished it  :'(

Nobody around me faired any better either - the 'weights', what I can recall were at the far end of that bottom straight on corn close in late on in the match
