Pick up a penguin

This penguin goes into a pub in Dublin and says to the barman, I'll have a pint of lager please.
The penguin pays and starts his drink.
With on-one else in the pub the penguin tries to make conversation with the barman, Has my dad been in, he asks the barman.
The barman replied, What does he look like?
