Fish shoaled up a bit cos of the ice thawing recently, those who caught, caught well, those who didn't were scrapping for perch, fished the same to me as when you go on it and its clear, either sit on em and bag up or dnt sit on em n struggle .....

A section was rough and had a couple of drys but in general it did fish well as the fish would be shoaled up on 4 or 5 pegs in a row rather than one or two .....

Cheers for that. Do the changes in the temps affect the fishes feeding.
I mean do they feed better when its a constant temperature rather than what its been doing lately, going up and down like whores drawers Image

I think pressure affects fish more so than temperature.

I'd have to say that i agree 100% with that,

whenever u get constant cold weather yeah fishing becomes harder, but the longer the cold goes on the more consistant a venue becomes, however if the temperature fluctuates then the water temperature is constantly changing which makes the fish shoal up and / or not want to feed as much. I think those that didnt catch on Coventry canal was mainly because the ice had started thawing and in some pegs completely gone, its not surprising that these pegs either had ounces or 9lb come off of them ..... Michael Buchwalder sat for over4 hours without a bite from an almost completely thawed peg, then started catching roach late on, Ted sat on a bridgehole with no ice what so ever and struggled for 5 small perch .....

4 pegs up Darren Lewis caugh 9lb from another compeltely thawed peg, u just never know when the weather is up and down but Ted ent that bad an angler {and Lewis ent that much better an angler} that i belive there were any where near the number of fish infront of him .....
