Right I asked Gem what she wanted for breakfast and she said "Toast please"
I asked her "How many rounds".
She said "How many slices you mean", I said "NO how many rounds"
Rounds is a midland terminology for slice. But she won't have it.
Toast. Help please.

SLICE OR PIECE!!!
A round is as Toma says what you do in a pub- buy a round of drinks
Most bread is square not round anyway
If its such a Midland thing, why didnt hear 'a round of bread' when i lived in Rugby for 15yrs?!!
Itll always be a slice or piece of toast to me no matter what
Toast. Help please.

Cause Rugby is Warwickshire not Midlandshire

Its a Slice or Piece of toast. Get used to that Simon
You cannot convert me to your Penkridge ways
Midlandshire, psml! Nooob
Warwickshire is a county of the Midlands
I/You will never ask for a round of chocolate or cake , thats just wrong! You would ask for a piece of chocolate, slice of cake etc
so why is bread so different?!
Ha, as if i would give you food poisioning! i cooked you toast over xmas and it was edible
Goodnight

Si, Gem
It's not just a Midlands saying as you go to any half decent resturant or hotel and it's known as a "Round" of toast.
Normal people call it a Piece of Toast or Slice of Toast though...
And gems toast always used to be DARK BROWN even after she scrapped it.....
Toast. Help please.
