Manchesters got nothing goin for it now

i went down the brook at the end of my road this afternoon(u can jump across it)
took my 10ft bomb rod a landing net, a pocketful of bits and bobs and sum old bronze maggots.
well after trickling a few maggots into a few swims i settled down in a deep bend(2ft) first chuck tip rattled and my strike was met with a solid resistance....snagged after a straight line pull it came free along with a 4oz roach,bingo!!!
on the next 6 casts(under arm flick) i extracted 6 dace all around the 4-6oz mark, quickly followed by a perch of the same size.
my wife and little girl turned up with the dog and lils said "she wanted to catch a fishy" so i sat her on my lap and swung the rig into the tail of the pool. instantly the tip banged round and she(with my help) reeled in what looked a decent fish, after a few seconds a chub of about 12oz was on the bank much to the glee of lils, she'd caught the biggest fish of her life and the day not 5 mins from the front door in a water u would'nt take a second glance at!!!
suppose u shud always be prepared for alsorts of surprises!
think i'll try itagain very soon but next time on the stick float(if i can find one)

went again this afternoon and had 11 chub to 2lb(ave. 12oz) 15 dace 4-6oz, a 2oz perch and 2 brown trout of about 12-14oz.

all on a 0.2 dc2 pole float on running line.

awesome on a day wen the line was freezing in the rings...the brownies really made the day, all the fish were proper mint nick.

give me the post code and we'll have Kammy matches on there next year!
