Whats the funniest experience you've had on a fishing match?
I've had a couple of quite funny experiences.
One was when i fished a round of the Walsall winter league on the Rushall canal. I was next to a guy named Charlie Cadman, it was blowing a gale and at one stage it blew his glasses off his face into the canal...he spent 20 minutes trawling with his landing net trying to get his glasses back to no avail.
At the weigh in he lifted out his keepnet to weigh in and tipped a few roach, perch and his glasses into the weigh basket.
Possibly the funniest experience was on a club match with the Hilly house when i was about 16. All through the junior ranks i fished against a lad named Adrian Rollinson. now Ade was a couple of years older than me and was big lad for his age, his fishing had taken a back seat over the previous couple of years while he tried his hand at weight lifting but he still turned up at the occasional match with his dad Arthur.
On one match, just after Ade had passed his driving test, he decided to reverse over a hump back bridge only for a car to crash into the back of him. The guy in the car got out and started Effing and blinding and using threatening behaviour, none of the other members in the club offered assistance, the angry driver told Ade to get out of car so he could discuss it with him further....
Ade got out of the car and the guy decided to exchange insurance details rather than beat him to a pulp...

The funniest thing you've seen?
I wasn't there but i heard once Darren Massey was reaching down to the canal for a bowl of water, and he went in head first.
Apparently he got out, raced home, changed his clothes, returned with 3 hours left of the match and ended up 4th overall .....
Also i heard that the 5 anglers either side had 2 lower their floats 5 inches when he got out because of the amount of water that was lost
