Simple Match Fishing Forum

Right this a tricky question. Anglers that fish commercials have 10 to 15 yards, canals we seem to go every other peg, thats ok but sometimes you miss the fish if they have tightened up and rivers well you can have anything from 20 yards to a field.

Surely this needs to stop! Swino said to me that on the trent matches he had 50 paces between him and the next man, is this too far ?

on one section in our winter league i put two pegs quiet close about 20 paces apart. the reason i do this is roach especially live there and more than often one of them wins the section, if i was to give them more room only one would catch but would catch really well.
I know the river is gin clear but fish are where they want to be, the greens is quite closely pegged and no one minds yet on the natural sections they insist on really long pegs, this week i have cut the walks down as most dont want the long walks which we seam to have got nower days.
i just hope its ok.I look at it in this way. its a team match and your match is the section your in. anything else is a bonus what do you think ? 

I think you need to look up the word 'punctuation' in the dictionary!

Someone pointed this out to Joff before about his punctuation before on the AT site,so he started using smilies. :( ::)
I know that my punctuation isn`t good but at least i have a go.

Just one full stop or comma every 100 or so words would be nice!

I have too take a breath reading Joff`s posts!!! and his match results take some working out also.

joff has a cap J, there is a space after site, smileys is ies, you don't need the that in the last line and i should be cap I

its not only his joffs spelling that takes some working out but his pegging..50 paces between each angler.....he must keep losing count every time he gets past 12 ..its not only the spacing between anglers but whats in the water . my peg yesterday was weed from one bank to the otherand full of snagswhat a nice days fishing i had yesterday

you looked at those pegs the other week and said they looked good

there was colour in the river and u couldnt see the weed 8-)but its solid..... ....scriv been a bit quiet today joff...i wounder why ...and ifGOBfreys pegging the section next week it will be even worse

i wonder if he will give his saturdays fishing to peg out in all  that sh#ty mud and chop the pegs out.

bucko the best one i've heard is kimber shouting his mouth off in the tackle shop that he was going to punch my lights out for changing the sections of which i did phone each captain about first

im shaw GOBfrey wouldnt mind ..at the end of the match yesterday i had a walk up to gobfrey...he was saying his peg shouldnt have been in then 2 bream rolled where hed been fishing
