This is the scenario....
You go into a shop to get some Sweetcorn, there is none on the shelf so you ask the Shop keeper if he has any..
He replies yes and goes to get some from the store room, he comes back with a case of Jolly Green Giant 12 tins.(Couldn't tell when he bought it out because it was under an inch of dust).
It has 25 minutes left on the "best before date"...
How much would you expect to pay?

I helped out in a tackle shop for about ten years. It often amazed me the amount of punters that came in and paid £1.70 for a tin of famous name anglers sweetcorn that clearly says on the wrapper that it is inedible. It came from Italy
At the same time PI WV were selling edible sweetcorn at around 24p per tin. OK they were smaller tins but not THAT much smaller.
If it has the word anglers or fishing in front of it we pay the earth.
Saw a pair of multiblade scissors in a catalogue the other day at £1.10, they were advertised as kitchen scissors; looked the same as worm crappity smack to me.
We must be very gullible

Would have chucked it away rather than give it away.
Bad for business if it is old.
That's how bad rumours get started

Why is it that team anglers use the cheapest sweetcorn but club anglers want the best sweetcorn?
