Just out of interest, that well known archivist and custodian of the funds, MGB, pulled me listings of winners at the presentation nights going back as far as his records go.........

There's a name or two that some will recognise, and some that wont

Whats "Knock out winner" mean ?

Designated round 1, 25 members fish, top 16 weights go through.....


Designated round 2, the top 16 are included in this round and top 8 weights go through and so onto a final between the last two members left in it


Miss a round - tough you are 'out'


Can lead to some quirks though - eg this year the 'semi's comprised of Tigerbay, Zorro, HaHa and yours truly.


Only prob, at the 'designated' semi final match - which is 'announced' before round 1, 3 semi finalists - Tigerbay, Zorro and TK all missed that match...........


So HaHa cleaned up the cash front (we all pay £2 to enter) and claimed the title of 2008 Knockout winner  :o
