ken wade has a deadline of 7pm you have to phone him right thats ok but when i've ran a match and done the results plus the league results i want to sight down and have a few beers with the lads and if kens phone is engaged i often forget to phone back so i always email the results the next day in my own time often the same as i do on site but for some reason this time there are NO signs of them
yet angling mail phone me up without fail at 8 to 9 pm so i am now thinking of only posting on this site and the mail
i feel its a waste of time contacting the AT

Same here Toff...
When i try to contact AT with the results they are either engaged or too busy working behind the bar...
Anglers mail usually send a roving reporter to my matches and he takes the results with him.

I NOW WONDER whether when ken said angling time had lost money over the last few years on the winter league are true and i can see why if match anglers only account for say 5% of sales and that must be decreasing fast as every other match angler tells you so week in week out not buying the paper
in six pages of results you have seven adverts of which two are half a page each you also have whats on in your area that used to be on a page of its own and at only £1.60 a copy

Are you pre menstral Joff
:-?
feel a lot better today dodge i'm just sick and tiered of trying to put match fishing where it should be in the weekly papers i'm sure if one had the balls to extend there match sections and put a few more pictures and a little more depth into how the bloke won the match sales would start turning around but from my point of view why should we as organisers waste our time when these reporters are payed to do the job
and if my business was loosing money each year i'd be asking questions long before the losses amounted to what A/T said

Good stuff Joff
totally agree with you mate, makes you wonder why they dont employ a few match organisers to cover the bigger matches, take photos, write ups etc because whats being dished up at present (particularly AT) is very poor !!!
