Will be interesting Lloydy as the forecast is for very mild weather up to mid november but they probably have got it wrong again.

If its in you gotta take it but the practice for our first winter league in 2 weeks time wouldn't be any worse without joker.

I agree Lloydy. You dont need the stuff on midland canals until the first frosts or late October/early November, whichever comes first. All you'll catch until then will be skerritts one a bung. Take it out and you suddenly have a nice bread/squatt/hemp match for fish that actually pull No2 elastic out!

Yes, but I bet my missus will be nagging me to turn the central heating on in a week or two....
To quote Jim Royle from the Royle " I'm off down the Feathers Barb. you'd better get your coat"
"Whys that Jim are you taking me with you?"
" No I'm turning off the the fire"

Keep off of it for as long as you can and get the bread out

First two matches, Joker will make it an expensive match rather than a better match.

Both Norbury and Dams and locks are fishing very well without it.

Quote 'If you don't need it why use it?'

From a former world champion who actually won his crown on bloodworm.

No prizes for guessing who. Image Image Image

Yes mate, I personally think i'm better at squatt fishing than joker fishing, i do enjoy worm fishing and i would rather catch than struggle, how many anglers only fish when jokers in? dont see some anglers all summer or see names in results anywhere then the joker matches start and you see them every week. is it cus they aint got a catty?

Fozzy has to work in the summer; that is when they make their dosh with maggots.
Same applies to Harry.

T'others go all year (season) I think.
Billo also works at the farm but currently goes to Rudyard. Image Image

Dunno about any others.
