Is it me or has everywhere fished hard over the last couple of days?
I went on a stretch of the Staffs/Worcs near Wolverhampton, the venue is full of roach and skimmers...Two chub won the match for 6lb+...the only other weights over 5lb were the two end pegs.
There is normally 4lb in all the pegs, I weighed in 15oz 5 drms.

Must be the high pressure? I fished the final south west Drennan Super league match on the Bristol Avon at Newbridge. The river looked really nice, but one of our guys won it with 12.6.0 of bleak, the Roach just weren't feeding as I only had about 5, with 5 or 6 perch in the first hour fishing conventionally, Pole and maggot or caster over balled in G/B. But then swapped to fishing for the bleak and had about 300 for 10.3.0 and 4th place. ( They only paid 3!!!)
Just to cap it off I drew on points for the top individual in the league with Clive Branson, only to loose out on weigh!

At least ur on a proper venue sunday lee. And it did fish hard, i only just managed to win my match sunday by 197lb,on maggots tho.so was proper fishing.
