Simple Match Fishing Forum

anyone got any info on this place. Im gonna go for a pleasure session on my first day off in god knows how long. Its a place ive heard mentioned a bit but ive never been to. Any recommendations to which pool, whats best bait, what pegs basicly any info going is welcome.

Follow the track down. Youll see a pool on your right and one on the left. Park at the far end of the one on your left and pop under the little bridge to Alders Pool - have a gander on google maps.

I'd use gots and corn - but have a gander here

tk so what time does the place open? I turns up at 9.30 with some nicely tied rigs, fresh bait, sun shining and what do i find ?

The BLOODY Gates locked

Theres a lovely sign saying what baits you can use, theres a lovely sign with the names of the 3 lakes on ALL saying open eopen open BUT The BLOODY Gates locked so i didnt even get to see any of the lakes never mind fish them.


I could understand The BLOODY Gates locked if it was 5.30 in th morning but not at 9.30 so i had to make do with Biston Farm again

Dont know ME - got me on that one...............
