mars bar challenge result
mars bar challenge wekends result and its a right shocker venue dams and locks water and i must say what a lovely stretch and no boats could'nt believe it weather looked good for some big weights of skimmers and being in lee's team we had the right information on the venue just the wrong draw [thanks lee] still it was all about the MARS BARS with tony keeling paul jarram mark and lee and anyone else that wanted to throw one in i can always sell mars bars
with half ahour before the all in lee's sat behind me and said he had only set two rigs up i thought he was going to have my pants down with me setting up the normal six top kits
at the all in everybody was catching loads of fish and one or two locals were fishing down the track for skimmers my first mistake not doing that still it was a fish a chuck on squatt but very small bye the end of the match i weighed 5lb 12oz but had no bonus fish and one thing i have learnt you do need to fish for them at some point in the match needless to say there was loads of weights between 4lb and 6lb with the top 5 all having a few bonus fish a great dats fish reallly
but the best part was to come the result of the mars bars
I TOOK THE CHALLANGE and as the mars bars came flowing in Lloydy shouted out" you 'l need a lifetime membership at weight watchers at this rate" poor old tony had to come into the pub with a bag full
lee handed me yet another plus one to paul jarram and in return had one off mark who did'nt think to bring one as he thought of only receiving one and one off tony ::)

Now come on lets have the truth of it all.
It took us one hour and a half to get there due to an accident. We were sent up towards Nuneaton and had to come via the M42.
The day cost me £12 in fuel and a £4 odd for a rushed breakfast; another £12 to fish. This is the first round of a new league. I get to my peg; a pleasure angler dumped 7 lbs odd back plus groundbait and all manner of feed including green and pink boilies. In the whole match I had six bites across on squatt.
The only consolation I was told it was bad luck. crappity smack bad luck it was bad organising and nothing else.
I finished miles behind in my section which was no surprise; oh my area was abolutely covered in dog sh!t too.
The venue is good; the organisation is utter 6 finger shuffle; it take crappity smack all to put up a notice or at worse poke your crappity smack head over a bridge to check the pegs.
The last summer league I 'fished' there was about three ago when I was pegged exactly half way along a very long boat right outside the Boat pub. I couldn't fish the first part of this match because I had nowhere to go; I was not even allowed another draw; how crap is that? I finished last there too.
The whole point of this is that these are opening rounds and completely crappity smack the team up points wise. Why dont the organisers get these pegs; they deserve too.
Too add insult to injury I had to save face by buying a whole heap of Mars Bars. What a day, had mor fun in the Tax Office.

you must of fished a different match bill
the truth is you are dead right about the notice i did 'nt see one saying water booked either and to have anglers on your peg is even worse as its you that has to take the s##t off them when they move if they move you should of got your money back bill
and then brought more mars bars

we drew crap because we had the last envelope...
I didn't get the chance for a good draw to glue itself to my sticky little fingers because three of our team couldn't get their arses away from the breakfast table
