carney's pool
Back at carneys pools and after my success in the last match I still wasn't looking forward to this match. We arrived early and after the sat nav sent us a strange way to say the least we got there.
After pooling up we were waiting for MR MOUND who didn't turn up after booking his place.
We made the draw and paced a card around which I won and then we made the draw and I got peg 6 which tommo got third of last match and he drew the peg I won of. After we had a talk how he fished my peg and how I fished his I went back to my peg and the island was 14.5 meters over.
I started with a pot of pellet and corn at 13 meters and first chuck I foul hooked a carp and got it out. So I potted in another pot of corn and pellet and had another foul hooker and got it out . I then struggled and went shallow and had 3 more carp before I couldn't get a bite so went tight across and was having carp every put in on the corn and soft pellet but was pulling out a few that were foul hooked then the wind got up and holding the pole was hard and in the last 2 hours I only got 3 carp.
result
1st JJ Gallagher 45lb 11oz
2nd S Gallagher 25lb 11oz
3rd M Thomson 25lb 10 oz
4th Tommo 24lb
It fished better that normal and I fell I'd hve done 70lb+ if the wind wasn't as bad. Stafford moor again next week

Sound, I will take some sausages and put them in Tinks Cool bag
