90 anglers fished on the mighty River Severn over three days, with the river rising and falling day by day it was it always going to be a hard nut to crack.
After two days Bill Mitchell was in pole position with 70 lb 2oz and a 15lb advantage over the field but a poor draw on day three allowed rising Trabucco Midlands VDE star Ade Slade to come through from unfancied peg 78 with a 3rd placed on the day catch of 31lb consisting of 16 small barbel, two chub and a few dace.
Well Done Sladey...The newsagents might let you off taking your paper round tomorrow!
