Method feeder newbie..Question.

Hello everyone 
Just getting into method feeding,I have a 10ft guru feeder rod,3000 reel,8lb daiwa sensor mainline,with a7lb guru ngauage hooklength.Hook is a size 14 QM1.
I'm really struggling with the method feeder connectors,they are just to small for my sausage fingers and poor eyesight.The preston ones being the worst.I can manage the Guru speed bead,but it takes ages instead of 'speedy' haha! Is there an alternative for this connection.I use the Ics feeders & bombs.
