9 fished today. For a change we had the roadside bank.
How nice to fish in the sun after the ordeal of the last match, although it was quite an Easterly breeze throughout.
With all the recent dry weather the lake level was down, and that coupled with night time frosts for the past week, meant no-one was really expecting a bagging session, although the results were rather disappointing. The carp were elusive and when they did show, with luck you might pick up one or two before they disappeared again. So it was a case of trying different swims/presentations/baits and hope to gradually build a weight. Clive did this best today and ran out as the winner with 57lb; yours truly was 2nd with 49lb and Mr C 3rd with 24lb.
