The 2nd round of the Oxford Summer league was fished by 7 teams of 6 on the Thames at Sandford and Appleford. The river was carrying a good flow and colour and everyone expected lots of bream to show but the match actually fished very hard especially at Appleford.
Individual
1st Steve Townsend - Drennan Oxford Aqua - 26lb 6oz. Steve drew bottom end peg at Sandford and caught bream on the pole at 16m with worm on the hook over groundbait and worm.
2nd Adam Durnford - Sensas A4 Green - 11lb 8oz. Adam drew at the top end of Sandford and had roach and perch on the whip and maggot.
3rd Trevor Chalk - Isis - 11lb 3oz.
4th John Beesley - Drennan Oxford Blue - 9lb 2oz.
