The 1st round of the Oxford Summer league was fished by 7 teams of 6 on the Thames at Medley and the Channel. The match coincided with the 1st hot weekend in a long while which meant there plenty if swimmers and boats but the river had a nice summer flow and some colour. The match was predictably dominated by bream weights on the medley section but there were small fish caught as well.
Individual
1st Dave Self - Drennan Bordon - 45lb 5oz - Dave drew in middle of Medley and had 13 good bream on a groundbait feeder and worm.
2nd James Carty - Drennan Bordon - 27lb 10oz - James was also on the Medley section and had bream on the feeder and worm.
3rd Mike Marden - Devizes MG - 26lb 5oz -
4th Gary Williamson - Devizes MG - 22lb
