The 5th round of the Angling Trust Oxford winter league was fished by 6 teams of 8 on a very cold and clear Kennet and Avon canal around Hungerford. Once again end pegs dominated the main frame but there were plenty of very small roach and gudgeon for the rest. In the league Drennan Oxford clinched their 5th win in a row,
1st Mark Harrington - Sensas A4 - 17lb 12oz. Mark drew top end peg on the match length just below the lock at Lower Marsh and had mainly skimmer bream on maggot over grondbait at 8m.
2nd Tony Hobbs - Drennan Oxford - 12lb 12oz. Tony drew top end peg at the Tavern and had perch and roach on pole and caster at 10m.
3rd Gary Barclay - Drennan Oxford - 8lb 10oz. Gary drew bottom end peg at the Church and had perch on worm over chop worm feed at 10m on the pole.
