The 3rd round of the Oxford summer league was fished by 8 teams of 6 on the Thames at Dorchester and Benson. In steaming hot conditions with lots of boat traffic the fishing was hard but there were still bream and roach caught,
1st Ian Young – Drennan Oxford Yellow – 13lb 9oz. Ian drew top end peg at Benson and had 1 big bream plus skimmers on 14m pole and worm over groundbait.
2nd Steve Townsend – Drennan Oxford Blue – 11lb 5oz. Steve drew in the top section at Dorchester and fished across to the far side on a open end feeder and groundbait with worm on the hook to catch skimmer bream.
3rd Adrian McTiffin – Drennan Bordon – 8lb 6oz. Adrian drew in the bottom section at Benson and had a big bream and some small fish.
4th Dan Varney – Drennan Oxford blue – 8lb 4oz
5th Charlie Somerton – Sensas A4 Black – 8lb 3oz
