i've just had a quick look through the angling times and the angling mail and i'm sorry to say the match reports are getting less and less surely the way forward now is to get more and more results on websites ware anglers who fish the matches can put a lot of input in i know ken and tonys hands are tied and the hours they both  take on the phones just to get the results just to see them pushed out by advertising  >:( >:(
this needs changing not even the winter league final is in the paper >:(and as for the national  Image

The Angling Times match coverage has been very poor for a number of years..... it is almost non existant now apart from a few meaningless 20 / 30 peg knock ups on commercials !!!!
Why dont they cover the top matches / leagues in depth region by region ?? surely this would give team fishing and sponsors etc a much needed boost and possibly more match anglers on the banks and more teams competing in winter leagues etc ........

It seems to me that the AT is more interested in club and pleasure anglers Image

95% of people that buy magazines ARE club and pleasure anglers...if any magazine focused purely on open match anglers they would soon be out of business.....

Sorry to say that five percent open match anglers might even be a little over the top numbers-wise to the actual number of 'anglers' that are out there. :o :o :o :o

Perhaps if people bought the mags instead of reading them in shops they wouldn't need to have so many adverts...

Mr Woodhouse,

Could I nominate a shop in Leicester as one of your raffle prizes please? Image Image Image

It's not really a shop though Image Image

In a shop you go in, pick what you want and then take in to the checkout where you hand over English pounds to the value of the cost of the goods...

in that shop in Leicester you walk in, get what you want, walk out and then give the shopkeeper a lift down the road on the roof of your car. Image Image Image Image Image Image
