Oxford Summer League round 1 Abingdon and Culham

The 1st round of the Oxford Summer league was fished by 8 teams of 6 on the Thames at Abingdon and Culham on a clear static river badly in need of a lot of rain. The clear river combined with a hot sunny windless day did not bode well for bream to feed but the bream did feed at Culham and there were also some good roach weights.
1st Mark Harrington - Sensas Reading - 51lb. Mark drew on the dead tree at the start of the wood at Culham and had 15 bream on open end feeder and worm.
2nd Mark Barnet - Drennan Bordon - 36lb 3oz. Mark drew 2 below the winner and also had bream on open end feeder and worm.
3rd Steve Harwood - Drennan Oxford Yellow - 32lb 7oz. Steve drew in the rushes at Culham and had bream, skimmer and roach on 13m pole and maggot over groundbait feed.
4th Carl Eland - Drennan Oxford Blue - 21lb 3oz. Carl was also in the rushes at Culham and had mainly roach on a 5m whip and maggot.
