Mr C in hospital
As you may know Dave picked up a chest bug while he was on holiday. Unfortunately this has now turned into a serious infection and he was taken into hospital this morning with breathing dificulties, diabetes problems and nausia. At the moment he's on various drips and oxygen. Gladys says he will be in overnight and possibly longer.
Sounds to me like he might have pneumonia or something quite like it although that hasn't been confirmed.
I will get an update this evening and keep you posted.

Spoke to Dave Sunday evening - he actually phoned from hospital. Sounded pretty rough, but apparently more 'with it' than he was earlier today.
Doctors now confirmed its a serious chest infection and he'll be in hospital for 3-5 days. Still has a fever and his blood pressure and diabetes are 'all over the place'. He still wanted to know how the match went tho!
Get well soon mate.

Thanks guys. I arrived home an hour ago. They confirmed it was pneumonia. Been on IV antibiotics. Still quite breathless but time should sort it. I doubt Ill be fishing for a few weeks and then only on a short walk.

Glad to hear you are on the mend Dave. Take it easy and recuperate properly. Pneumonia has a habit of kicking back in just as you think you are past the worst.
