Tough or what???? A decent breakfast at the Oakmoor café on the A38 to start the day off, plenty of laughs, and a FEW fish caught in the end :thumsup :thumsup River looked pretty good, and was falling and clearing after all the high levels over the last few weeks. I honestly thought it would fish well, but instead, the Grueller series kicked in early this season. Me and Tricast chose the pegs to fish, trying to keep the long walks to a minimum. I hold my hands up, and admit I got it wrong. One or two lads had pretty unfishable pegs, but do you know what......nobody complained or whinged, just made the best of what they had. That's what makes this group of lads special to spend a day with. Thanks for all the usual banter and another great day out :tiphat :tiphat

Tough tough match where I could not purchase a bite , still managed to sit there thinking about life whilst my tip bobbed gently as I collected weed , not a sucked maggot in 5 hours , ouch !

Looking forward to the next one

Thanks to that Kamikaze Dace for hooking itself and helping me avoid the dreaded DNW. A lovely looking peg but sadly unfishable. Love river fishing but at times it can be so cruel. Well done to the framers,on to the next one!
