Well I wandered down our local canal - The Wyrley & Essington at Pelsall to see how the guys were getting on.........conditions not too bad, overcast, but after all the rain and flooding over the last week that had seen our intended river match called off and switched to our canal, how would it respond?

Straight away I clocked Abuman with a smile on his face...........

After exchanging a few pleasantries with a few of the guys I spotted Bullah up nearer the pub with a bit of elastic out.............was he snagged up?

Nope.........cuss he reached for his landing net

On the way back Cotti was doing a bit of show boating and tried to convince me he was on a lb bottom on the caster..........

After a load of showboating and faffing about, a tinca ended up in the net....

This was about the half way stage...........off I trotted to another engagement.

How would the match pan out?

I'd heard tales of lost fish. Heinzer had been seen off twice, Bullah once and Dazzla had lost a tinca at the net...........would those losses prove costly?

A captains performance yet again. It's getting embarrassing now when my points haven't counted for the team for the last 2 matches

Also well done Abuman and Bullah for framing. Thanks to Tricast for his dodgy weighing in skills, and Zorro for recording, and Dazzler for pegging out with me. Cheers lads

As for my match, not a lot to report other than its the first time EVER I have come out on top against the Tincas on our canal, hooked one, got one out

. Well fished Heinzer on the next peg, who didn't swear, despite losing 2 early Tench, and eventually his persistence paid off with a beauty

Bullah had a double ended joy toy fall out of his tackle bag, and with quick thinking, dropped it in his landing net and told everyone he had hooked it fair and square

OBI thought we were on Doggers when I text him about it

Dazzler was up to his usual tricks

Tinca 1 - Dazzler 0...say no more. Great to see TK having a wander, and looking fit and well

Oh and by the way, I was caught red handed by TK with a few pellets on my tray

Guilty as charged your honour, and I will be a good boy in future
