The practice open for the next round of the Oxford winter league was fished by 35 anglers on the Thames at Sandford and Radley. With a overnight frost and low and very clear river the river fished exceptionally hard and the top weights all had the advantage of end pegs.
st Steve Harwood - Drennan Oxford - 6lb 15oz. Steve drew bottom end peg at Radley, 3 below the boathouse. He started on a maggot feeder tight over to the far bank bushes and had a number of small chub. He then switched to the pole at 13m and had small roach and perch on maggot over groundbait feed.
nd Dave Johnson - Sensas A4 - 6lb 10oz. Dave drew top end peg at Sandford and had roach and perch on 13m pole and maggot over groundbait feed.
rd Martin Wickens - Drennan Oxford - 6lb 7oz. Martin drew bottom end peg at Sandford and had mainly small chub on the waggler and maggot.
th Richard Rosinski - Sensas A4 - 5lb 10oz
th Andrew Cranston - Pewsey MG. 5lb 5oz
