39 anglers fished the Oxford and District open on the Thames at Medley and Folly. With the river carry a bit of colour and some much needed flow it was expected that the river would through up some good weights. It was however a tale of 2 venues where Medley, despite a nasty easterly wind, fished brilliantly but Folly fished really hard.
1st Darren Scott – Drennan Oxford – 19lb 11oz. Darren drew 2 below Godstow lock on Medley and had a good bag of roach and perch on the 11m pole and caster over groundbait feed.
2nd Arnold Liaukevicius – Drennan Oxford – 16lb 14oz. Arnold drew on the green bank on Medley and had roach and perch on 13m pole and caster over groundbait feed.
3rd Martin Wickens – Drennan Oxford – 16lb 9oz. Martin drew 3 from the bottom end of Medley and had mainly roach on 14m pole and caster over hemp and caster feed.
4th Steve Harwood – Drennan Oxford – 13lb 11oz.
5th Pete Bowles – Sensas A4 – 13lb 9oz.
