Well that was one of the hardest matches I have fished for some time. I was very pleased to find that my pole does in fact have a 12.5 metre section and that with a bit of difficulty I can just about use it for a while. :thumsup :thumsup
I had an enjoyable peg to peg battle with Tony W even though he almost forgot club rule 15A ( Beating the chairman off the next peg is banned ) by landing a lump of a carp foul hooked in the belly after the whistle. To make a hard day much better the sun came out and a spitfire came out to play and did a display over our heads. You cant get much better than that. :thumsup :thumsup

Now I must admit that this lake is not on my list of favourite places, but I try to do what the majority want, so should I book it again next year?

Well the fish always seem to do a runner over to the far bank as soon as we appear, so it favours those who like to and can fish 12 metres plus. The fish don't give themselves up easily so you have to work at it plus its not as heavily stocked as most of our venues. Still there is a certain amount of masochistic enjoyment to fishing the place.

Apparently the Spitfire display was not for our benefit but was for a nearby wedding - pity as it was more interesting than the fishing.

Oi Mr chairman, if I've managed to achieve the same weight as a certain Mr Watkins how come he's been given two more points - dodgy accounting practices you learnt. :fistycuffs

As for fishing it again, I find the whole complex expensive to be honest having none a number 7 on Eva and now a number 8 on Sophie, I can't afford to fish there next year!! :facepalm

Presume you mean the Hartleylands match on the 3rd Kris. Not a problem as hopefully we will have 29 pegs available if the have repaired them. :-/
