The latest ODAA open match was fished by 36 anglers on the Medley stretch of the Thames. With a gin clear river and no flow together with a bright sunny day no one was sure how the river would fish but it fished remarkably well will both some big bream and plenty of roach caught.
st Alan Brown - Matrix Talsmen - 32lb 14oz. Alan drew a unfancied peg just below the Perch pub but fishing a 12m pole and worm over chop worm and caster Alan had 5 big bream and some perch for a good win.
nd John Beesley - Drennan Oxford - 22lb 3 oz. John drew at the top of the Poplars and had 4 small bream for 10lb on the feeder and worm and then had a really good last 2 hours catching roach on the pole and caster at 11m.
rd Pete Townsend - Matrix Talismen - 15lb 11oz. Pete drew 2 below Black jacks and had bream and skimmers on the feeder and worm.
th John Taylor - Tubertini Apollo - 14lb 3oz. John drew top end peg below Godstow lock and fished wager and tares over hemp for a nice bag of small chub and roach.
th Dave Kirk - ISIS - 13lb 11oz
