R.I.P to one of the original hard men of football. Saw him play a few times and he was built like a tank, but had a brilliant footballing brain. One of Spurs finest

Remember Mackay had a spell at Derby County.....when i were a nippa.
He later took over from Clough as Player Manager.

Only just spotted this, - great, great player saw him play lots of times for Spurs and Derby.
If he tackled you, you stayed tackled!
Always fair though and a much better 'creater' than ever given credit.
Players are 'carded' today for his type of tackle. Too aggressive, what the crappity smack is that all about?
