Anyone got any ideas when the division 5 Nationals were fished on the Trent.
I fished for Team Robbos and have been trying to get a list of results. It would have been late eighties I would have thought.

About your only chance of finding the results is if you can get hold of the Angling Times for those years - I might have the 85 one but don't think I have the others. I did keep some 90s Div 1 papers but never really bothered with Div 5. The NFA chucked most of the results when they merged into the Angling Trust who managed to lose the digital results that they had. I know this because I've been helping John Essex compile a full list of National results and it's been a nightmare. The list we have is probably the most comprehensive available. Mostly all we have is the winning individual and team plus venue/points/weights. Although Angling Times have all the papers they won't do your digging through the archive as it's too much work. The National Newspaper Archive in London will have them as well.

1st Avon bait
2nd Bourne AS
3rd Warley MG
4th Team Bristol

6th Team Robbos

Thanks guys
Reason I was looking was that this was my last year in match fishing before moving to work in Nigeria in 91 where I have been ever since.
Would like to have seen a full list of the results as this was a team that came together quite quickly and and was their first ever National . We did reasonably well on the southern circuit, some of the guys are still out there doing it.
We had the likes of Dickie Carr, Chris Vandervleit, John Young, Andy Mead, John Weedon the late Perry Dalgarno fishing for us then
