I'm after some advice. I'm after a CHEAP and very light weight reel. Its for my 6 year old daughter. She's been fishing since last year for half hour to a couple of hours a time. Shes getting really keen on fishing now and as been asking to go down the cut for a hour or 2 most nights after school when the weathers been nice.
Up to yet shes been using a 3 or 4 meter whip or my top 3 or 4 off my pole, but shes asked if she can have a rod and learn to cast and fish using a rod. Ive brought her a cheap 5 ft rod which came with a reel. The reel with it is totally sh1t. It ain't got a clutch or anything and when she used it she caught roach and perch of a 1oz or 2 but as she wound in the fish was still pulling line out and the only way you could get the fish in was to hand line it.
So I'm after a light reel that will fit on to a kids 5ft rod and be light enough as to not make the rod to heavy for a 6 year old girl to hold. It will only have very light line on and be used for catching small fish .
