The practice match for the last round of the Oxford winter league was fished by 36 anglers on the Oxford canal from Wolvercote to Walton well road. With relatively mild weather and the canal carrying good colour and flow it was hoped that it would be a good match and so it turned out. However as seems normal these days the match was dominated by end pegs with the top 5 and 5 out of the 6 sections won from end pegs/

st Matt Herbert - Drennan Oxford - 12lb 9oz. Matt drew on the peg below Elizabeth Jennings bridge and had roach, perch and skimmers on the pole and worm.

nd Tom Hobbs - Drennan Oxford - 11lb 5oz. Tom drew on the peg above Frenchay road bridge and had roach and perch on pole and punch and then worm

rd Carl Eland - Drennan Oxford - 10lb 1oz. Carl drew on the peg above the clapper bridge on St Edwards school and had mainly skimmers and hybrids on pole and caster

th John Taylor - Tubertini Apollo 9lb 7oz

th Richard Rosinski - Sensas A4 - 8lb 15oz
