Simple Match Fishing Forum

This match was supposed to be on the Wharf but it has been changed to Owen Road.
I ain't fished there before but as always I look forward to fishing new places.

I don't know where it is? Can anyone help please.

It's Midland road where your fishing.

About 500 yards from my house....

I used to fish it 3 times a week.

You can come down and get your mars bar then

m6 junc 10, 3rd exit onto black country route , leave  at 3rd exit  to island 3rd exit (armstrong rd)  follow that rd to little island and owen rd is on your left, but you want to turn right onto midland rd as thats were the canal is.  All whats on owen rd is some factory units and a building site were the neptune pub used to be until it got knocked down so they can build some flats. Go along midland rd, under the black country route and the cut is there

  There were 3 blokes fishing were you fishing today when ii drove past on my way to work which is right  next to rattys stretch and no one was fishing on there

I was going the wrong way up the Wolverhampton Rd/Black country route and heading for midland road off bridgeman st/caldmorer rd.

si can i suggest you name a meeting place as at the mo you are just saying Owen rd.Like me and ratty have said theres nothing on owen rd. Werre about on owen rd are you gonna meet if you leave it at owen road ? because if you come off armstrong rd on to owen rd you will all be facing the wrong way when you set off to drive to the canal so will have all have to turn around

coming from the Willenhall direction along Owen road you will drive past the back of a new TESCO and then go under the Black Country route bridge, about 200yds further you drive over the canal, the stretch we are fishing is to the left and park on the footpath there.

Or from Jct 10 M6 take Black Country Route and then take 3rd exit and keep to the right, when you reach the island off the slip way take the 3rd exit, you will drive past Staples, keep going until you come to a little island and turn right, yiou then go under the black country route bridge, the canal is about 200yds where you park on the footpath on your left.

I just hope the pklace fished better that the Wharfe did last week.

It could be a good match if there is a bit of colour in it.

There are usually a lot of tench of the first few pegs this time of year as they gather for spawning.

Lots of skimmers around pegs 5 and 6.

lots of roach, skimmers and rudd on pegs 15 to 20.

Just make sure you plumb up carefully as there could be a lot of weed present in a lot of the pegs.

I have just been a bought some fun size maggots and casters.
Apparently Pellets are banned from that section. I think Tinky is winding me up though
