The 2nd round of the Oxford winter league was fished by 6 teams of 8 on the Thames on the Medley, Channel and Folly sections. With the river finally having a good flow and colour after the recent rain everyone had high hopes of good weights. Although the bream failed to show there were plenty of fish caught in most sections especially the Folly bridge sections.
1st Gary Barclay - Drennan Oxford - 18lb 9oz. Gary drew on the cottages on the Folly section and had perch, skimmers and roach on 11m pole fishing maggot over groundbait.
2nd Richard Cox - Tubertini Apollo Black - 16lb 9oz. Richard drew on Marlborough road on Folly and had 3 bream plus skimmers and perch on the feeder and worm.
3rd Richard Head - Drennan Oxford - 16lb 8oz. Richard drew end peg on the channel and had roach and perch on caster over groundbait on the pole.
4th John Taylor - Tubertini Apollo Black - 14lb 11oz. John was in the poplars on medley and had all roach on the pole and caster
5th Martin Phipps - Drennan Oxford - 14lb 6oz
