great result for Trentmen ..... burying the ghosts of last year?

With Leicester (last year's winners) in 7th that shows the strength of the league

Spot on this league is the strongest league we have had these results will chop and change . Where else can you fish against this quality just hope the weather is good and not loads of rain . There are a few Banana skin pegs where anything can happen. On the whole its as fare as you can get it  :thumsup :thumsup

Yes kiddo it will be up and down for us this year only got the bare 10 this week .it's great as most are learning about the river so we will take the good with the bad . The two section wins came from Steve Brooke's and Dave mawby two very good anglers that have fished the masters and fell in love with the river like kids in a candy shop . Really chuffed for them always asking questions and always learning plus bring plenty to the team it's a pleasure fishing with this bunch of lads

Cheers boys, I'm hoping we can keep it up this year. We've made a few changes over the last year so hopefully we can stay in front. That isn't an easy task though as I personally don't think there are any weak teams fishing this year! I'm sure it will be very up and down as there are some dodgy bits, but on the whole we couldn't ask for a more consistent well ran league could we? :tiphat Can't wait for Sunday now :joy

The river has 5 in on it. Bream have feed today in numbers on a rising river . Just shows what can happen on a natural venue .. I would think it will drop for the weekend plus the colour dropping out . Warm weekend a head anything can happen

Where was that from today Joff? Cos I'm thinking of getting out tomorrow for a bit if I get chance (to get rid of Sundays leftover bait ::)) and didn't want to sit where someone had already sacked up :-[ :-[

Sorry chris Deeps and greens the peg on the corner on the greens had 10 bream the river was rising as well .deeps in the short field had a dozen slabs just shows you how things have changed it was always on a falling river that the bream feed openly . Problem today is a soon as the river reaches a certain level they pump all sorts of crap in it and the whole river becomes a settling tank for all the crap and takes a few days to recover :-/ :-/

Thanks Joff. See they're still in the usual places then...

Frustrating that the system is full of em yet the 'window' of conditions to actually catch gets narrower... >:(

Just imagine what you'd catch in a 'night match' :o everyone would need 2 nets :rofl

I've not spoken to Brian this week the river looked really good today but we have had a couple of hours of heavy rain . If we don't have anymore rain it should settle for the weekend
