AFTER THE SUCCESS OF THIS SUMMERS RIVER FISHING
With the Sensas River Soar Masters and the equally success of the Burton River Trent matches we are teaming up !!!!
Over the last few weeks i've been in contact with Wayne Swinscoe just chatting about how good both venues have been this year. Both of us have enjoyed fishing both venues both with different disciplines in angling the River Soar competition being a slower venue. The soar offers a lot of pole work some feeder fishing plus bonus fish fish and after this year anything can happen.
The Trent at burton offers you running line fishing at the highest quality and is a real pleasure to fish. Stick floats and Wagglers whip fishing all make the Burton matches stand out . Great access to all pegs and again well organised with plenty of helpers .
Wayne and Myself with the backing of Brian Hull and Loughborough Soar plus Tony and all the burton lads have Teamed up and have already organised next seasons fixtures with the only difference from this year is they won't clash . One week it will be the Sensas Masters and the Next week will be the Burton Masters. The only difference will be on the Burton Masters the top 7 individuals quality whereas the sensas masters its section winners qualify . the reason being the Trent is a fast and some parts a slow river and to get 10 peg sections would be harder .
This will offer natural river anglers the best of both worlds without clashing and will possibly 60+ pegs every week through the summer months until the winter league start .
I would like to thank all involved and putting pen to paper it's a great opportunity for both clubs with no dates clashing to sellout :thumsup :thumsup
look out for the dates :thumsup

Great days fishing didnt win a penny with 8lb 14oz all roach on one of my homemade wagglers 6 to 8 rods out feeding two pints of maggots . Could not think of a better place to to spend my sunday and it didnt finish there .
the matche rised a shed load of cash for charity [£1,300] i think with a massive raffle which i did manage a prize so some young angler will be happy in he Tackle shop .

Wow....now that's great news. I think the lot of you should be congratulated on your foresight. :tiphat :tiphat.
I am thoroughly loving my Trent matches now, meeting up with some old faces and top anglers. As Wagglerman says, the scene round here at the minute is like going back in time. :thumsup :thumsup. Looking forward to the opportunity to take part in what promises to be a cracking series of matches. :D
Well done lads :tiphat :tiphat :tiphat :tiphat :tiphat

Well done to all concerned for getting heads together to make the matches a success for next year . There have been tremendous turnouts on the Soar and Trent recently , testimony to the river match fishing revival. The riverfest has also contributed to the increased interest as has the R. Trent revival arround Burton which is almost as good now as the 70's and 80's . I'm now looking forward to next year and i wouldn't mind trying the Soar as its years since i fished it .
Again well done Joff , Wayne and Co !! :tiphat :tiphat :tiphat
