Sensas River Soar Masters 4TH round

Another great competition on a natural venue even with a very warm week and very little rain the river still fished well. bright and blustery conditions faced the competitors on the morning . One inform angler Pete Jayes doesn't seem to mind what the conditions are .Pete is the godfather of of hemp fish in with scores of anglers learning the trade off him . Pete is a master of hemp but on this occasion pete needed all his years of knowledge of the river to land a fish of a lifetime to some . it was a Eel of 2kg 120g  :o :o it took as long to hold it for a photo than it did to play it.

Pete went on to win the competition with 7kg 120g adding a few perch and some last minute hemp roach . This is what makes sutton such a good venue you just don't know what you are fishing for .Second place went to Ian Barker who has just joined Browning Central Ian has has a great run of results in first series on the soar .Ian put together a cracking net of hand sized skimmers and roach fishing G/B and pinkies for 5kg 360g .Adey Reynolds was as surprised as the rest of us catching from a area that hasn't shown much form over the last few weeks . Adey used hemp for 4kg 970g and all roach catch . Brian Hull my partner in crime got the biggest cheer for his 4th place .Brian caught some nice perch and a last minute tench for 4kg 500g . Ever consistent dave petch 5th with 4kg and just to mention my OLD MATE Chris Buckingham [ Bucko to his friends] who managed to beat for the section with two tench for 3kg 350g and 6th in the match :thumsup
