Heavy rain the night before the Open saw the river rise slightly but by the time of the start of the match it was starting to run off.
The water had a little more colour in it than it has had over the past few weeks too.
This all helped to produce a good match result.
Dave Webb drew the Municipal section and alternated between his pole and stick float to weigh a very respectable 16lb 8oz
second was Wayne Swinscoe with 14lb of Roach , dace and perch from Sherratts section.
Third was a close result with only a few ounces separating Tony Moreton with 11lb 13oz and Harvey Clapham with 11lb 3oz both anglers were pegged on Baileys section.
all sections produced very good weights of mixed fish and 37 anglers took Part.
