A new venue for the club and I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did. Im sure Gino did after managing to take the Watkins nugget at last.

I would like to hear your comments and if you want to fish it again. They also have what they call the Ribbon lake which is only silvers at the back of the caravan field.

It was but mainly at 2 plus 2 on paste. I put a second carp net in and 5 fish later had to put another in as I was close to the 70lb net limit. Those 5 fish ended up weighing 65lb Image.

Nice, proper fish, bit rude of Mr Wright to deprive you of having the only 'TON' though. :D

Not his fault I should have done 200 if I hadnt wasted 25 minutes talking to the EA baliffs and paying the baliff and then walked round the lake for a break ;)

Well done to all those who managed to catch a few.       In spite of mine and Kevins swims apparently only being populated with Crucians, Tench and Bream, I would certainly give it another go especially if they don't remove all the bigger fish.
Not interested in the other lake - don't do silvers  Image

According to the bailiff they usually take out the big fish and move them to the main lake. They are building a new specimen lake and rather than move the big fish to the main lake and then again to the specimen they have left them in the match lake. When the new lake is ready they will move the bigger fish.

Or stop giving him a short walk....seeing he then walks the lake twice in the match he hardly needs it Image Image

To be honest it fished harder than I was expecting, Dave apart. Fair do's if they take out the bigger doubles for their new match lake, but if they take say all 10lb+ fish out then I reckon that would have at least halved most of our weights. That said still worth another bash. Do we know when they hope to move the stock to their new lake? Might be worth trying to book a date next year before that.
