Curse match 8 2014 - Soaked at Sharretts

With a lull in the World Cup, time to post the result from last Saturday....

Would love to say the sun shone, the birds sang but it was a bit damp

In fairness it wasn't to bad 'once we got started' after a delayed draw, but the deluge we experienced the day before (who was it that said don't book any matches in future when its Glastonbury weekend

) probably impacted on the result.

From a personal perspective it was a tad slow, netted exactly 75 fish, but they were on the 'small' side to say the least - even Tony V who came down for a stroll couldn't believe the 'stamp'

of fish I was wheedling out......

1st river match in years..really enjoyed it

....forgot just how much hard work it is compared to sitting on box on the cut/pool

Wish I had been with you lot...damp or not....spent 3 hours walking round a desert in 36 degrees heat in Mexico wishing I was running a wag down the Trent every step of the way

Nice to get out on the river and to catch a " few " - took me a while to work out that fish were under my feet in a back eddy
