The 1st round of the Oxford Summer league was fished by 6 teams of 6 on the Kennet and Avon canal at Great Bedwyn. The skimmer bream and big perch fed today and dominated the weights today.
1st John Williams - Sensas A4 - 12lb 3oz. John made the most of a feature peg to net perch to 2lb and skimmers to 1lb on worm over chop worm on the pole.
2nd Chris Telling - Drennan Banbury gunsmiths - 9lb 14oz. Chris also has some bonus perch to back up a net of small fish on squatt.
3rd Paul Harrop - Turners - 9lb 13oz. Paul had skimmers and perch on red maggot.
4th Stewart Harrop - Turners - 8lb 15oz
5th Martin Phipps - Drennan Banbury gunsmiths - 8lb 8oz
