This is your opportunity to ‘Go Fishing with a Star’!
The NFA is offering anglers a fantastic opportunity to go fishing with their favourite England International stars and help raise funds to support our England International teams.
Anglers have an opportunity to join an online auction through EBAY where they will be able to bid for the chance to have a day’s coaching with their favourite star. The coaching session will be for two anglers, who will wherever possible receive complimentary breakfast upon their arrival and a day ticket for their day’s fishing.
There are twelve anglers up for grabs over the next four weeks including Alan Scotthorne, Tom Pickering, Denis White, Stuart Conroy, Richard O’Connor, Sean Ashby, Darren Cox, Dave Harrell, Des Ship, Will Raison, Steve Gardener, and Bob Nudd. Over the course of the next four weeks the NFA will be uploading three stars that anglers can bid for the pleasure of a day’s coaching and help raise funds for our England teams.
The first three anglers up for auction are Will Raison at Gold Valley fishery, Stuart Conroy at Brookside Fishery in Warrington and Sean Ashby at this year’s Fish ‘O’ Mania final venue, Browning Cudmore. To be in with a chance of winning your coaching session with either of these stars, anglers will need to make a bid through Ebay allowing you to track bids from other anglers and make sure that you are the number one bid when the auction ends.
The chance to bid for both these anglers will commence tomorrow on Thursday 1st May and the last chance to place a bid will be 10am on Wednesday 7th May.
‘Go Fishing with a Star’ is the creation of Dick Clegg OBE, NFA International Events Director to raise funds for the England team for Anglers with Disabilities who will be fishing in Germany and the inaugural Veterans team who will be fishing in Portugal this July.
Successful anglers will need to bring their own equipment, but will again where possible have their bait provided for them. The NFA guarantees that all funds raised from the bidding process will go towards supporting your England Angling with Disabilities team and England Veterans team at the World Championships this summer.
