The level is back to normal - presumably after water has been pumped in from the Bradley borehole following the pollution icident at Wton

Whether that has contributed to the reintroduction of colour I dont know Josh.

I spoke to Gaz Shep down the cut this evening, whilst tow is generally minimal on the cut, he reckoned you could have got away with the stick down the track the otherday

Talking of which, it looked absolutely bostin - I aint seen it looking so 'inviting' since around the time of the SMF championship in May.............wished we were on it on Saturday now

Gaz is down there again tomorrow - probably in the 50s - where a fortnight ago you could see all across the cut, every contour, every weed. I'll keep you posted how he gets on

'How you got on? Has it lived upto expectations?'

'I'm still fishing - daint come till this afternoon. I've had bream and tench from across and some bosting roach and rudd, roach knocking the lb mark. I've had double figues of roach alone'

2012/13 season tickets are now available, still only £5 for the year Image

These actually commence from 16th June to coincide with what was the 'old' season, but any 'new' member wishing to 'try' the canal will also get what's left of 'this season' - can't be bad - 14 months for a fiver......... ;)
